The King Alfred School is looking for a talented and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and pastoral support to a Year 6 student. In the first instance, the role is until the end of term with the potential to extend into next year when the student starts in Year 7. At that point the hours would increase.
The ideal candidate will be sensitive, empathetic and have experience working with children.
Working with Lower School Teachers and the Lower School SENCO, the key duties of this role will include:
- Be present in lessons with the student to offer support where necessary
- Pro-actively help to build and monitor the student’s emotional security
- Liaise with teaching staff
