Learning Support Assistant

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Learning Support Assistant with the vision and skills to drive the continued success of the SEND Department. The role is working within a very friendly and supportive department assisting pupils with SEND in our Senior School. The primary duty of a Learning Support Assistant is to make education inclusive to students with underlying specific learning needs and duties and may vary widely depending on those and departmental needs.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
