The Eden Academy is looking to appoint full time Learning Support Assistants to join our team as soon as possible at Grangewood School.

  • Term-time only + 5 training days
  • 36 hours per week (Monday 8.30 – 4.30 pm Tuesday – Thursday 8.30 – 4.15 pm and Friday 8.30 – 3.45 pm)
  • LSA 1, Scale 3 Point 14 – 17
  • Dependent upon qualifications and experience

 

Grangewood School is a school for children with severe learning difficulties.  We are a member of The Eden Academy. We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who must have extensive and proven experience of working in an SLD primary environment and ideally has some background of working with children with ASD. We would welcome applications from candidates who are enthusiastic, flexible and are willing to participate fully in the life of this successful special school.

Grangewood School is a co-educational day school for primary age children with severe learning difficulties. We cater for children aged from 3 years to 11 years of age.

The school is situated on a beautiful wooded site in Eastcote, Middlesex which has extensive grounds with a range of facilities including:

The relationship between pupils and staff at Grangewood are excellent. The school is a happy and purposeful environment where children are praised and acknowledged for who they are as well as what they do. We provide a safe and supportive environment for children with a range of special needs and strengths. We also aim to provide within the school an ethos in which regard for others is of the greatest importance.
 
Pupils at Grangewood engage in a range of stimulating and creative learning opportunities. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, including the National Curriculum, which is delivered by means of individual teaching programmes and continuous assessment. The school is well supported by a team of professionals, including speech therapists, educational psychologists and a full time nurse.
