About the role: Are you keen to work with our students and support us in delivering a first-class education? Are you looking for a new role to start as soon as possible? The Leigh Academy have a new opportunity to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will make a real impact to our students' learning. The role of a Learning Support Assistant involves working with students across Years 7 to 13 in a variety of subject areas, either on a 1-1 basis or in small groups. Some students may have Special Educational Needs that you can support them with (training is offered in this remit), whilst others may need extra assistance from someone with a passion for the subject to push them even further. Previous experience in supporting students is desirable for this role and we would also like our successful candidate to hold the Level 1 or Level 3 BSL qualification.The students you will be working with are by no means behind in the subject, but need extra encouragement and support to ensure they understand each topic and to enhance their confidence within the subject. The ability to build strong and effective working relationships is essential for this role, so if you feel you meet the criteria – we’d love to hear from you!
