Have you got grade C or equivalent in Maths at GCSE?

We are looking for individuals who will be proactive, well organised, team players and have good classroom management. The successful candidates will be directed by the SEN department to support students with an EHCP.


Main responsibilities include: 

  • To supervise and support the learning of students in a variety of settings 
  • To keep up to date with information relating to students with Special Educational Needs 
  • To develop effective resources to support student learning 
  • Be willing to support student’s medical needs through training 
  • Be prepared to be flexible and adaptable


The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and build constructive working relationships with staff across the organisation, be self-motivated and able to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy

The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.

The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
