Grange Technology College is a part of the Southfield Grange Trust, a multi-academy trust established in 2013. The school is co-located with Southfield School, a ‘generic’ special school at the Southfield Grange Campus. Grange has been oversubscribed for a number of years and currently serves over 1850 students (including 250 at Post 16) from a wide variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The majority of students are of South Asian heritage and we welcome an increasing number of students from Eastern Europe. We at Grange aim to ensure that students make excellent academic progress as well as developing the social and life skills essential to their future. What does the role entail? To mentor and support individual students or a designated cohort of students in a class or a group working under the guidance of the Inclusion Manager, Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion, Subject Leader.
What do we need? Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with an understanding of child development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning.
