East London Science School is an aspirational and forward thinking free school opened in September 2013. ELSS is an inclusive and non-selective school with high expectations for all the pupils in our care. Our ethos centres around creating an environment within which all of our pupils can make exceptional academic progress.
With this in mind, we are looking to appoint a full time Learning Support Assistant,(specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder) to join our highly motivated and friendly team. The successful candidate will predominantly be working with our lower school, supporting pupils with ASD and other diagnosed conditions. You would be required to work alongside teachers to support learning; providing support within lessons and running 1:1 and small group mentoring/academic intervention.
The role would particularly suit someone with a background in ASD support/teaching or an interest in these areas.
