Learning Support Assistant

The role

Smart Teachers are recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants to work in a range of Special Educational Needs schools across the London borough of Bromley and its surrounding areas. The Learning Support Assistants role will involve general assistance for students throughout their school day, including assisting around the school and with classroom learning. Some roles may involve a degree of personal care and toileting. The successful Learning Support Assistants will have the option of both long-term work (for the duration of the academic year at the same school) and shorter-term work (ad hoc/block bookings at a variety of schools). Positions across Key stage 1 and 2 will be available. Experience with a variety of SEN in a school-based environment is preferred but not essential, however experience in a school setting of any kind within the last two years is essential.

Requirements

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistants position, you will:

• Have relevant school experience within the UK

• Have experience with and a basic knowledge of ASD 

• Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
