Preston Manor is a successful, oversubscribed, all-through Co-operative School in the highly diverse London borough of Brent. We are a large learning community with students from ages 4-19 years old and our curriculum expands across six key stages. We are a happy and inclusive school, serving a diverse and vibrant community. We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to join our team and contribute to our growth and development.

The school is situated close to the exciting new London Designer Outlet and is a short 10 minute walk from Wembley Park and Preston Road Underground Stations and a 10 minute bus journey from North Wembley Station. It can be easily reached using the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines as well as the Bakerloo line and London Overground. Central London locations can be reached within 20 minutes from the School.

Contract: Fixed term contract for 3 terms in the first instance
Hours: 32.5 hours per week – term time plus INSET days
Salary: Scale 2 – Salary range spinal point 10 - 13 (£14,338 - £15,941 pro rata) plus London Weighting (£1,812 pro rata)

We are looking for well-qualified candidates to support students with SEN.

 As a Learning Support Assistant you will be committed to inclusive education by helping students with a range of SEND to access the curriculum, participate in the wider life of the school and reach their potential.

We are looking to appoint people with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills as well as initiative, flexibility, a sense of humour and the ability to relate to children with a variety of needs. We are particularly keen to hear from graduates who are looking to go into the teaching profession. Experience of working with children of primary age would be an advantage.

Preston Manor School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through state school with academy status, based in Wembley, north-west London, for children aged 4-18. It is a member of the family of Co-operative Trust Schools. It is a large school with approximately 1,900 pupils. Situated within a multicultural community, the school offers additional support for pupils who speak English as an additional language. Diversity and tolerance is a key message in its ethos.
