We have a vacancy for a Learning Support Assistant in the SEN department from January 2020 to support a student with Multi-Sensory Impairment. In the first instance, this post is for the academic year 2019/20 and is directly linked to funding for a specific student.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident and supportive person who has an empathy with students and is sympathetic to the needs of a school. The successful candidate will work alongside a member of Curriculum Access Specialist (CAS) staff from the Vision Impairment Service.
This role will involve a combination of in-class support, including practical support, developing skills in preparing resources with specialist equipment and computer-based programs.
Experience in a similar role would be an advantage; however, there is a comprehensive training programme in place for this post including initial shadowing.
If you would like an informal conversation about the post, or would like to visit the school in advance of applying, please contact Sian Boatwright, SENCo. Sian’s e-mail address is: email@example.com
You can download an application pack from our website. Please apply by returning the application form, together with a letter of application, by noon on Monday 9th December 2019. Your letter should address points 2, 3 and 4 of the person specification for the post. Applications should be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
