Permanent - Full Time 

£16,500 per annum 

37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 

Because we want you to get off to the best start with us we are giving you an extra £250 to you when you first start with us, and then when you are settled in in 6 months’ time we will give you an extra £250 for your hard work.

We are searching for a talented Learning Support Assistant to be a key member of our team, providing standards of person-centred support and care to our service users.  As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll build good relationships with service users and their families.

Sheridan School offers an integrated programme of education and therapy for young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, compounded by complex learning difficulties such as Autism, Attachment Disorder and Mixed Neuro Developmental Disorders.

The role of Learning Support Assistant is to assist in providing the best possible environment in which the educational support and developmental needs of individual learners can be met.  Energy and initiative is vital experience, however is not essential providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.  Due to some elements of the role and our location, it is a requirement of the role that candidates have a clean driving license and access to their own vehicle.

Sheridan School is a specialist school for boys and girls aged 10 to 16 who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties with learning difficulties including autistic spectrum disorders. Many of our young people have experienced considerable disruption to their education as a result of their difficulties and may lack confidence in their own abilities.
