There is an increasing number of applications to Northampton College from students with personal care requirements. A specialist team support the diverse and varied requirements of the students studying on programmes across the college.

This new post will play a key role in ensuring discreet and dignified support is provided to students with personal care needs on mainstream study programmes. 

General learning support may also be provided in a group, a small group or on a one to one basis depending on the requirements of the students.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.

Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.

Resources and accommodation are almost all of a very high quality and are used very effectively; the learning environment is safe, very well-maintained and welcoming. Governors are very knowledgeable and provide well-informed and constructive challenge to managers in order to promote improvement.”
