Willenhall E-ACT Academy has an immediate need for a Learning Support Assistant/Practitioner/ Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support a group of secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs (SEMH). The academy prides itself on its ability to engage with pupils in educational and therapeutic capacities to ensure that each pupil makes progress in learning and personal independence as they approach further education. 

The Multi Academy Trust, E-ACT is committed to providing the best possible care and education to its pupils and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.  In order to achieve these aims, we recognise that it is of fundamental importance to attract, recruit and retain staff of the highest calibre who share our commitment. Whilst working closely with teachers, you will be supporting secondary age pupils with their learning and personal development. 

You will work with pupils on a 1:1 and group basis to assist them with activities, inclusion and behaviour management. You will have experience working with children and young people with a range of additional needs including but not limited to social, emotional and behavioural needs and associated additional learning needs. 

Applicants with experience of working in Special Education Needs Schools or in Youth Work, Sports Coaching, Behaviour Support or Speech and Language roles would be ideal. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups on specific programmes if required. 

Candidates will be required to possess Maths and English GCSE grade A* - C
