Job overview
The Support Learning department require two Learning Support Assistants to support learners with learning difficulties and disabilities with their education. This section is looking to appoint an experienced individual who is willing to work alongside the Lecturer and Learning Support Assistants to deliver quality educational, behavioural and care support. Candidates must have at least GCSE in English and Maths to Grade C or above (or equivalent).
You will need to be able to defuse situations, work confidently with an individual on their own and within a small group situation. You will be able to help the learner recognise successful strategies that increase their participation and achievement. You will also be able to deliver personal care as and when required.
