Job overview

We are currently looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who is able to work on a one to one basis with one of our pupils. 

We are looking for a passionate Learning Support Assistant who is able to support a pupil in our pre-school. We are looking for you to have experience in a support role and ideally some experience working with Autistic pupils.

We would like to receive applications from you if you are able to demonstrate experience in school support. Experience of working with Autism is essential for this role. Having a passionate about education and children’s learning is also essential.

The Successful Learning Support Assistant should be able to demonstrate the following qualifications & experiences:

• Have experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEND) in a primary school or pre-school setting 

• Have GCSE level or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.

• Have knowledge and understanding of the different social, cultural and physical needs of children.

• Have an interest in how children learn and behave. 

• Be able to be a role model for our pupils 

• Care about children, particularly those who find learning and managing their behaviour difficult. 

• Have training in aspects of SEND, i.e. ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism or experience of supporting pupils with those needs

Desirable

• Experience in delivering 1:1 or small group booster session in literacy and numeracy.

This is a term time only position and would be to work part time or full time depending on the applications received.
