We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and committed individual to join our well-established and supportive team of Learning Support Assistants who work with students throughout the college from Entry Level 1 to Level 3.  Candidates will demonstrate appropriate knowledge and experience in supporting post 16 students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

John Leggott College (JLC) is an open access post 16 provider which attracts Learning Difficulties & Disabilities learners with a wide range of additional support needs, including ADHD, sensory impairment, mobility issues and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  We are a thriving and successful Sixth Form College in North Lincolnshire consistently been in the top 25% of all schools and colleges for A-Level and top 10% for BTEC. The college’s learners are fantastic and JLC are looking for staff who can harness their talent inspiring them to progress and contribute to a positive culture.

John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
