Strathmore College are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team now!  We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Learning Support Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the  class teacher, assisting the young people with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Strathmore College is a residential and day college in Stoke on Trent, situated on excellent transport links to the college directly and within the wider community.  The college provides educational provision for learners aged 16-25 years who have mild to severe learning difficulties, emotional, social and behavioural difficulties/disability which include Downs Syndrome, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, speech and language difficulties coupled with other health related, mental or physical difficulties.  The learner’s needs are increasingly more complex, with a number of learners who were NEET and those who were finding engaging in education and learning challenging. The College uses meaningful, practical learning activities to engage and motivate learners.
