We are currently recruiting for support staff for services in Oldham, Bolton and Rochdale with pupils aged four up to nineteen. Candidates will need to have a good understanding of working with students with additional needs and ways to effectively communicate and promote independence.

This role will require you to work on a flexible basis with pupils to build positive, professional relationships and help children overcome barriers to learning. It is desirable that you have experience in working within a Special school environment and have working knowledge of PECS and even basic BSL/ Makaton.

Ideally you will have knowledge of working with Individual behaviour/ Education plans to help you in your work to steer pupils on the right path.

It is desirable that you hold a certificate in Team Teach and Moving and Handling, however we could help to train and certify you in this as we run CPD courses for our staff.

We have a personable approach and like to understand the need of our teaching and support staff as this is important when matching you to a role.
