If so, from May / June 2019 we are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking person to join the strong team of skilled support staff within our SEN department. You will work closely with the SENDCo ensuring that the provision of special educational needs and disability learning support requirements are provided for students. Bushey Meads School provides education for the full ability range of children, including students with varying degrees of physical impairment who are fully integrated into the classroom.
You will need to be an outstanding team player, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents/carers and external agencies. This is a varied role and will involve deputising and assisting the SENDCo on occasion, liaising with external agencies, overseeing elements of SEND within the school, assisting with managing the department budget and providing staff with advice and guidance on how best to support individual students.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and candidates should be educated to ‘A’ level standard (or have equivalent relevant experience) and, ideally, have worked in an educational environment before. The salary for this post is APT&C Points 8 - 14 which is £19,945p.a. - £22,462p.a. plus London Fringe £874p.a.(actual pro-rata salary range is £16,983p.a. to £19,126p.a. + £744p.a. fringe) Salary offered will depend on skills and experience. The post is for 37 hours per week, term-time + 1 week to include 5 INSET days.
