We are currently recruiting an Learning Support Coordinator. She/he will be part of a growing community, one that develops young people of talent and potential from Mozambique to be the well-educated, ethical and pluralistic leaders of tomorrow. The successful candidate will provide students with learning experiences that are engaging, relevant, challenging and significant through enabling inquiry, based on the beliefs and values of the IB within the context of the mission and ethos of the Aga Khan Academy Maputo. In addition, the coordinator will ensure that students make progress as a result of their learning, monitoring progress and planning interventions, as necessary, to maximise each student’s achievements.

The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree with teaching qualification, previous IB teaching (MYP and/or DP), and have a strong mastery of subject knowledge, skills, and concepts.

The Aga Khan Academy Maputo

Opened in 2013, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo is a day and residential school, located in Maputo, Mozambique, offering an education built upon the renowned and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate (IB) programme for students aged 3-18. The Academy is part of the wider Aga Khan Academies network, which will, in time, form a global learning community of 18 schools in 14 countries across Africa, Europe, South and Central Asia, and the Middle East.

The Aga Khan Academy Maputo features a world-class, purpose-built campus in Matola city – located in the Maputo Province of Mozambique. The Academy selects talented students from within Mozambique, Africa and across the globe based on merit, regardless of their socio-economic background, faith, origin or gender.
