We have a great opportunity at HMP Haverigg to join the education team as a Learning Support Manager on a permanent, full time (37 hours per week) basis.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that the specific and individual educational needs of learners are identified, assessed and inclusively addressed. You`ll be using data to inform the delivery of and access to appropriate learning programmes and to monitor learner progression. You`ll also be able to identify the need for and arrange or provide appropriate support and guidance for a range of staff and/or volunteers. To do this successfully you`ll need to have a

• Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE
• Degree or equivalent
• Hold or be working towards a qualification at Level 4 or above relating to working with learners with special educational need
• Track record of working effectively with learners with complex needs some of whom may present with a range of challenging behaviours
• Track record in creating and implementing strategy and policy at an organisational level relating to inclusive learning, special educational needs or additional learning support
