This is a key role which has arisen at the College due the retirement of the current postholder, and is to lead, manage and develop the Learning Support team. This is a stategic area of growth for the College, we are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to further build on the excellent achievements to date. The role requires the ablity to develop and maintain systems for recording, monitoring and evaluation of the College policies on learning support, as well as ensuring that the College is funded appropriately for this work, and that learning support is delivered effectively and to a high level of quality throughout the College. The Learning Support team provides support for students with a range of learning needs as well as those with physical and sensory impairment, learning disablities and autism. The team also delivers skills sessions to level 2 and level 3 students, across the College, to support their progression in their studies.
The successful applicant will have a track record of working in this area of teaching, with a passion, determination and vision to increase this provision further.
