Are you passionate about improving the lives of students with Special Educational Needs? Do you want the opportunity to develop and deliver a range of interventions for a variety of needs and personalities?
Our ‘Good School’ (OFSTED, September 2016) is looking to recruit a creative and compassionate Learning Support Coach who can build positive relationships with students with a range of Special Educational Needs. This is an exciting time in the journey of our school, and we are seeking to appoint the right candidate as the Learning Support Department builds on its current good practice and strives for excellence in helping all our students realise their educational potential.
Cardinal Wiseman is a small secondary school with a supportive and caring community of teachers and pupils. As a Catholic school we value the individual person, recognising that each life is unique and precious. This is evident in our Learning Support team, where we collaborate closely each day to remove disadvantage and enable our students the best possible access to the curriculum and the fullest integration into the life of the school.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, and of delivering high-quality interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social skills (one-to-one, and in small groups). They need to be confident, articulate, and organised, with good communication skills. This role will be well-suited to someone looking for a vocation in education or psychology, who finds it rewarding to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
If you are interested in this role and would like to request an informal visit, please contact Nicki Broome on 0121 360 6383, or email at email@example.com
