The Post

We are looking to appoint into the Special Educational Needs team, individuals who will work with students, primarily on the Special Educational Needs Register to access the national curriculum and the wider school curriculum so that that they might be enabled to achieve their full potential.  The post holder may at time to time be required to work with students with some complex needs however a full training programme will be provided.  The position may be of interest to applicants considering a future career in education.


We currently have variable permanent contracts available. 


Successful applicants will be required to work up to 28 hours per week (Monday to Friday) term-time only.  We would be happy to accept part-time applications; please state on your covering letter the hours or days that you would like the school to consider.  


Your starting salary is £18934 - £19701 fte per annum (Actual salary£12399 - £12901 for 28 hours), subject to review annually. 


BET also operates a pension scheme into which the school contributes on behalf of all members of staff who elect to join the scheme.


Due to the nature of this job, if you are successful in your application you will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service with barred lists check. This will be done by means of applying for a DBS certificate through the Disclosure and Barring Service.  Disclosures include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions, spent or unspent.
