We have a fantastic opportunity for two Learning Support Officers to join Penola Catholic College and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As the Learning Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting and assisting students with special needs. The Learning Support Officer will provide assistance in the classroom and out of the classroom working closely with teaching staff and student enhancement teachers to ensure our students with special needs are given every assistance to learn and reach their full potential.

These are 12-month fixed term positions commencing 28 January 2022.

One position will be based at our Glenroy Campus (Years 7 and 8) Monday to Friday 8:45am to 3:27pm, for a total of 30 hours per week. 

The other position will be based at our Broadmeadows Campus (Years 9 to 12), working three days per week 8:45am to 3:27pm, for a total of 18 hours per week. There is the possibility of five days a week.

About You

To be successful you will have previous experience as a Learning Support Officer, preferably in a secondary school, or experience working with young people with additional needs or learning barriers. A relevant qualification would be highly regarded.

You will also have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children.
