Learning Support - Senior Tutor

Salary:  From £17,056 - £18, 556 (depending on experience)

Contract type: Full Time Mon-Thursday 8:45 – 5:00, Fridays 4:30 finish.

Start Date: From January 2020

Step by Step School is an independent school near East Grinstead  for pupils aged 4-19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  We have car sharing schemes from Brighton, Crowborough and Crawley

We need enthusiastic people to join our team of dedicated staff to deliver individualised programs of education to our pupils of Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form ages. We are keen to hear from individuals who have a detailed knowledge and understanding of ABA and are keen to deliver this practically in a school environment. Full induction on working in a school environment will be provided, as well as ongoing training and development. 

You will need a well organised approach, good planning skills, an appreciation of Health & Safety in the workplace and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Above all, you will also need the physical and emotional resilience to work with young people who sometimes present with challenging behaviour.

We are inviting applicants educated to ‘A’ level standard and /or applicants with relevant experience working in a school. Knowledge and experience of ABA is essential.  

Working Hours: Full-time, M-T 8.45 am – 5.00 pm, Friday 4:30 finish, approx 42 weeks over three terms.

Starting salary from £17,056 per annum (may vary subject to experience). Upon satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period, salary is subject to an incremental increase.
