Wetherby School are looking for a career minded and enthusiastic learning support specialist teacher to join our learning support team from September 2018. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, imaginative and driven specialist teacher who works with equal efficacy independently and as part of a team. Applicants will join an innovative, forward-thinking and committed learning support team.   

Experience of Key Stage 1 or 2 is essential as is a qualification in OCR Level 5 or equivalent, experience teaching SEN pupils 1:1 is preferable.     

Wetherby School is a non-selective Independent boys’ school (ages 2 ½ - 8) in Notting Hill with 360 boys. It is heavily oversubscribed and is extremely successful in securing pupils’ entry into the Preparatory School of their choice as well as supporting those with additional learning needs. It is part of the Alpha Plus Group of schools, which is one of the country's leading educational groups.

The Alpha Plus Group has its own salary scale, which is above the Central London Maintained Scale. A salary at the appropriate point on the Teachers’ scale will be offered to the successful candidate and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

About Wetherby School

Wetherby School is based in Kensington and Chelsea, London. The independent pre-preparatory school admits boys aged 4-8. There are currently around 360 boys enrolled in the school, which occupies a listed townhouse.

In 2002, the school became part of the Alpha Plus Group. It was founded in 1951 and moved to its current location in 1971.
