Job overview
We are looking for an exceptional learning support teacher to join our team. You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and have the ability to work as part of a team and make use of your own initiative when appropriate.
- To work in partnership with, and under the guidance of the SENCo and any other professionals (class teacher), concerning the educational, emotional, social and physical needs/wellbeing of a named child.
- To teach intervention groups for maths and literacy with pupils age 5 to 11 years.
- To monitor and report on progress with the planned programme of individual work.
- To work with children in a small group, or as part of the larger class or, when the teacher is working directly with the child, to work with other children.
- To set up and maintain activities .
- To maintain notes and observations/other records, as directed.
- To play a part in the creation and maintenance of a happy, caring, and stimulating environment throughout the school by treating all children, parents and fellow professionals with kindness, openness and respect.

Sancton Wood is a co-educational, independent school in the heart of Cambridge. Spread across three sites, all within walking distance of each other, the railway station and the city centre itself. We provide an outstanding learning journey for students aged 9 months to 16 years.
