Job overview

The College is looking to employ a proactive and enthusiastic individual to work as part of our learner support team.

Duties will include: working 1:1 with learners in a college environment and also to work on independence and employability skills through our Life Skills Programme.

This is a term time contract and a certain degree of flexibility is essential as hours are based around the learner’s timetable and learners will be in different colleges.

Applicants must have achieved, or are prepared to work towards, a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/children and young persons and have experience of working within the educational/care environment.

It would be preferable if applicants had previous experience of working with students with special educational needs and Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

A knowledge of welsh language is also desirable but not essential. You must hold a full clean driving licence.

Staff may be required to work outside term time if training is required.

Priory Coleg North Wales is a specialist further education college for learners aged 16-25 with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Asperger Syndrome and associated conditions. Priory Coleg North Wales works in partnership with Coleg Cambria to deliver mainstream education with tailored support in education, independence and communication skills.

References

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, or you are applying to work within our Children’s Homes we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
