We are looking for Learning Support Worker who will be providing support inside and outside the classroom to a range of learners including those with learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities as well as those learners on our LLDD Supported Internship programme, a vocationally based Internship programme.
Duties will include in-class and on course support such as note taking, completing learner records, tracking progress, personal support such as helping learners to the bathroom, facilitating social interactions at break times as well as assisting tutors with course delivery, marking, setting up and developing course materials.
The successful candidate will have a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing and understand the importance of health and safety. Above all, a flexible attitude and willingness to work as a team are needed.
The core hours for this role are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:45 term time only (36 weeks). The hours for this role may vary termly depending on the course but may include 8.00 am starts, some evening work and some weekend work.
