Job overview

We are looking for outstanding specialist lecturers to help us deliver one of the country’s leading Level 3 Games, Animation & VFX courses.  Whether you are from industry or an experienced lecturer, we are looking for people who are passionate about their subject, highly skilled, engaging, self-motivated, and focused on helping students to develop into the next generation of industry professionals. 

Lecturers in 3D Modelling and Animation

Digital and Creative Industries

Full time (37 hours per week) or part time (negotiable), permanent

£26,569 - £29,011 per annum

You will work in our stunning new SciTech Digital Innovation Hub, which opened in September 2020. Facilities within the Hub focus on digital industries including Games, Animation & VFX, as well as Cyber Security, Software Development, Network Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Film & TV, Broadcast Journalism, Photography, Digital Design, Virtual Reality and Motion Capture. 

Barnsley College is an outstanding college, and these are exciting times for the department as we continue to develop an innovative, industry-focused curriculum. We are looking for additional subject specialists to join our Digital and Creative Industries team, to help us to work with our industry partners to deliver outstanding courses.

Previous training or teaching experience would be advantageous but is not essential. These positions offers a fantastic opportunity to showcase your training and teaching skills, and either start or progress your career in education.
