We are looking for an outstanding lecturer to join our Art & Design Department at Wigan & Leigh College. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, enthusiastic and highly productive and progressive Art & Design Department. We provide students with the technical skills and knowledge needed for careers across the creative sector and have extensive alumni of successful and professional working artists.
You will be an experienced practitioner who achieves success through the use of innovative approaches that enthuse and engage students. You will demonstrate excellence in teaching, learning and assessment and have a proven track record of this field.
The applicant should ideally hold a Degree level qualification in Photography, Lens-based Imaging or Digital Design. A Further Education relevant teaching qualification and experience of working with BTEC (Levels 1 to 3) would be highly desirable for this position.
Successful applicants will demonstrate highly-developed practical skills in lens-based practice, advanced use of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign) and the ability to work from diverse contextual references. Evidence of recent practice is vital and a portfolio of personal work will be required at interview.
