We are looking for a new team member who can plan and deliver exciting, differentiated and engaging sessions in an outstanding way.  You will need to hold a minimum of a Level 3 Horticulture qualification and have strong industry links, while being diverse enough to deliver  a variety of interesting and challenging subjects to include employability to lower level learners. The successful candidate will have a strong classroom management style along with exceptional organisational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively with learners, colleagues and employers.

You will be joining an outstanding Land-based/ Foundation Studies team at an exciting time as it works through further development and growth.  You will be supported by an experienced and inspiring team of Land-based educators with a wide range of specialist practice to share.

Wigan and Leigh College is a further education college in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which has been providing education and training locally for more than 150 years. It employs around 1,000 staff and has a student roll of about 17,000. Further education students can choose the A-level professional honours programme or vocational qualifications such as BTECs. An expanding higher education portfolio of foundation degrees, top-up degrees, higher nationals and certificates is available to adult students of all ages, both full-time and part-time. 

Wigan and Leigh College operates from several sites across the borough: the Parson’s Walk Centre, School for the Arts and Pagefield Centre are in Wigan, close to the town centre. The Image Centre and Leigh College are close to the town centre of Leigh.
