We are now looking to recruit an innovative and creative Engineer who possesses excellent industry experience and knowledge. Our Mechanical Engineering Division delivers both full and part-time courses across a range of levels and also delivers professional updates to meet employer needs.

•Are you an individual who wants to work for a College with an excellent local reputation and ambitious ideas? 

•Do you want to see students’ progress from Level 2 through to Higher Education?

•Do you have experience in teaching Level 3 and Level 4 in Mechanical Engineering with experience of delivering Engineering Design, Business and Quality. 

•Do you possess the skills and knowledge to deliver practical sessions in areas such as general maintenance and welding at Level 2.

•Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is ready for a new challenge?

Wigan and Leigh College is a further education college in Wigan, Greater Manchester, which has been providing education and training locally for more than 150 years. It employs around 1,000 staff and has a student roll of about 17,000. Further education students can choose the A-level professional honours programme or vocational qualifications such as BTECs. An expanding higher education portfolio of foundation degrees, top-up degrees, higher nationals and certificates is available to adult students of all ages, both full-time and part-time. 

Wigan and Leigh College operates from several sites across the borough: the Parson’s Walk Centre, School for the Arts and Pagefield Centre are in Wigan, close to the town centre. The Image Centre and Leigh College are close to the town centre of Leigh.
