This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, well-resourced and highly productive Creative Industries department. We need a 0.8 course leader for our Level 3 Graphics Art & Design Extended Diploma course for a fixed term period, working with the successful and collaborative Art & Design department.
The successful candidate will also be expected to teach both Graphic Design and general Art & Design skills across the department at all levels. The School of Creative Industries provides highly creative young people with creative vocational courses across subjects including Art & Design, Fashion, Drawing, Games Art, Music, Performance and Film. We are proud of our continued success and growth in this area. Our ambitious approach to highly practical vocational learning at level 1 through to level 6 degree, results in our students progressing to the best creative institutions such as UAL, UCA, Kingston University, University of East London, University of Northampton, Leeds Beckett University and Falmouth University to name a few.
You will have an excellent proven track record of teaching, learning and assessment and development of practical and vocational programmes from a mixture of awarding bodies across different levels as well as a current and strong understanding of curriculum opportunities and developments in art & design and graphic design (and FE education).As a key member of a diverse and highly skilled team delivering on the UAL Awarding Body, Access and HE programmes, you will have a strong ability to develop productive relationships with your colleagues and students. Your ideas of how employable skills can be creatively included in the curriculum and assessing learner progress will be innovative and motivating as well as thorough.
