Job overview

As an Assessor within the Business, Tourism and Adventure Faculty you will be joining a very successful, ambitious team supporting young people on our apprenticeship programmes. We currently work with apprentices completing Level 2 Customer Service and Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeships and work closely with a range of local employers. You will be responsible for assessing Business related content across the apprenticeship standard in this area.

The core of the role will be to facilitate the apprentice’s learning journey by supporting the creation of the showcase portfolio. This involves working with apprentices to gather evidence, identify assessment opportunities, set up and prepare for End Point Assessment (EPA) activities. You will also carry out regular employer visits to assess and review the apprentice’s progress. A small amount of college based teaching may also be required.

This is an office-based role; however, you will be regularly visiting apprentices in their workplace as part of the review and assessment process. Our employer partners are predominantly based within Devon.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with apprenticeships either as an assessor, trainer or lecturer with some background in industry.

The successful applicant will need to hold, or be willing to work towards, a CAVA or TAQA (A1 or equivalent) qualification.
