As a result of exciting new developments and growth South Devon College is looking for a dynamic and experienced lecturer to join its South Devon College Marine Academy. As a Lecturer Boatbuilding the post will join an experienced and dynamic curriculum area.

 

The curriculum scope provides skills training for young people, adults, apprentices and higher skills/education. The range of disciplines offered through the South Devon Marine Academy includes marine engineering, boatbuilding, composites and maritime skills.

 

As a professional Lecturer you will be required to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties as follows: teaching, tutorials, and student assessment. These typical duties include:

·        planning teaching sessions; including lectures, practical sessions, tutorial;

·        developing relevant teaching materials;

·        meeting students individually to discuss progress;

·        monitoring student attendance and personal development;

·        checking and assessing students work;

·        supporting delivery of English & maths and work experience packages.

These duties will include a range of activity across all provision types: young people, adults, apprenticeships and higher skills/education.
