About the role: 
We are seeking to recruit an excellent lecturer in Media and Computing to be part of the Access to Higher Education team, responsible for coordinating and teaching a variety of classes at Level 3.
The School of Access to Higher Education within City and Islington College delivers a wide range of courses. We are seeking to expand and strengthen our staffing team.
You will join a well-established team who have many years' experience providing a successful Access to Higher Education provision to our students. We have built strong links with local Higher Education Institutions, and our students benefit from this. We are seeking a lecturer who can build on these links, and further strengthen our team by providing effective and stimulating opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
You will develop and deliver practical, hands-on courses that enable users to complete with good grades, while also supporting students effectively in all aspects of their learning. You will prepare appropriate teaching materials and keep them up to date and use VLE (Moodle) for resources and tutorials. You will promote the curriculum development of existing and new courses, including monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance.
About you:

  • You will have demonstrable experience of teaching Media and Computing on Access courses.
  • A good honours degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Hold a recognized teaching qualification. 
  • You will be used to maintaining professional and high quality standards, and keeping quality documentation for reviews.
