We are in search of an inspirational Digital and IT lecturer.

Do you have experience working the Digital Industry? Or have you taught Digital / IT / Computing in Secondary school or FE intuition? Are you looking for a new opportunity?

We are looking for a highly driven specialist that is confident in many of the following areas:

·        Computer Science

·        Cyber Security

·        Digital Skills

·        Graphics & Animation

·        Games Design & Development

·        Networking, Programming

·        Project Development & HCI

·        Software and Apps Development

·        Web Development digital technology and media - including data types, analysis interfaces and programming is a must.

This role would suit someone who is perhaps industry based or has had recent industry experience and wants to develop the next generation.

The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programmes and/ or courses from Level 1 up to Level 5 (T levels, Higher national technical etc.) and will be able to motivate students to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

An eagerness to work as part of a collaborative department, drive change, constructively challenge, participate in cross curriculum activities and liaise with colleagues from other departments across the College are essential parts of this role.

The post holder must have relevant qualifications at degree level or equivalent. Experience and qualifications in teaching and learning would be advantageous, although industry experience coupled with the ambition of becoming an outstanding tutor will be considered.

This will be a full-time role, 36 hours a week based mainly at Eastham.  The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the evenings. We also offer courses at our Stratford campus and Institute of Technology Campus.

The department of digital technologies and professional services is well sourced, to meet the needs of all learners, having undergone a complete refurbishment and significant investment in new labs, resources, and digital facilities, incorporating VR/ AR, Design, Networking, Immersive linked rooms and Cyber learning areas.

You’ll have the full support of a dynamic team and opportunities to bring your ideas to the role. Training and development are at the heart of everything we do so you’ll be actively encouraged to upskill.
