Here at Kingston College, we are looking for a talented, inspiring, and passionate Lecturer of English to join us and teach a combination of GCSE English Language and English Functional Skills, predominantly to students aged 16-19 years of age. It will include preparing students for June exams, marking homework and mock exams, providing constructive feedback, setting targets for students, monitoring attendance and student progress, and where appropriate, curriculum development.


As our Lecturer in English, we’d like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE English and/or Functional Skills English. You will have high personal standards and expectations, have an awareness of academic quality standards and be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress.


A teaching qualification is not essential; however, we would like you to be willing to achieve one in line with current regulations.
