We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated lecturer to deliver A Level Sociology at our High Pavement 6th Form in the City. A Level in Sociology is one of our most popular subjects and sits in our social sciences subject cluster alongside Psychology, Philosophy & Criminology.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic teacher with experience of teaching A Level Sociology. They will be an inspirational practitioner that creates interesting and innovative lessons for our students. They will have excellent communication skills, empathy and understanding of young people, understanding the support their learners need to excel and achieve their academic potential and career ambitions. The role will also include additional duties that will entail progress monitoring, administration and supporting students to set and achieve challenging targets. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can use new learning technologies and a commitment to continue to update their skills through CPD.

We are looking for people who are passionate about teaching in a Sixth Form within a Further Education setting, and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress towards their educational and career goals.

New College Nottingham is a mixed, selective, non-denominational general further education college situated in Nottingham. It is a 16 plus with five different sites in the centre of Nottingham. The latest Ofsted report identified 14,029 learners at the school, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was established in 1998 through a merger of smaller educational centres in the Nottingham area. Further merging has happened, most recently early in 2017, when the college merged together with Central College Nottingham.
