We are recruiting for an experienced A Level teacher to deliver AS and A Level Biology from January 2019. You will also be required to teach Biology units in the BTEC Applied Science qualifications and deliver the Advanced Skills Challenging Certificate.

Within the role, you will perform scheduled teaching, prepare learning materials, mark students’ work, liaise with awarding bodies and exam invigilation as required. Acting as a personal tutor, you will provide educational guidance, support and counselling for all students whilst participating in the marketing, planning, assessment and evaluation of course provision.

As one of our Lecturers, you will also liaise with other tutors from other business areas with regard to resources, curriculum development, student reports and other related matters, whilst completing and producing the agreed deadlines documentation such as; registers, schemes of work, records of work, course review, course analysis documentation, student reports and absence reports.

We’re looking for an individual who is qualified to Degree Level (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in a relevant subject area and who holds a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE or C&G 7407. Creative, innovative and imaginative, you will be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and have the ability to assess the outcomes of learning and learner achievements.

With energy and enthusiasm in the learning environment, you will demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and be able to identify, interpret and apply specific knowledge to practice.
