The successful applicant will be expected to provide quality provision on education programmes, and to contribute to curriculum development.  The ability to motivate students and to enable them to realise their full potential is paramount. The candidate will have a successful track record particularly in the delivery of programmes.

We are looking for someone who works with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels, holds a relevant teaching qualification, who is a committed team member and who projects an enthusiasm for their subject and strives to achieve the highest standards in terms of their students’ results.   

However, the ability to offer flexibility across courses within the department is very important.

The area delivers a wide range of full- time courses including: 

  • AS/A2 Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Law 
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business 
  • BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel & Tourism 
  • Level 2 Business / Travel & Tourism 
  •  FdA Business, FdSc Law, BA(Hons) Business, Enterprise & Leadership 

The Programme Area consistently produces results of a high standard - currently self –assessed at Grade 1. As well as teaching, the successful candidate is likely also to have responsibility for a tutor group.
