We are one of the highest performing colleges nationally on all courses at all levels, rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and a TEF Gold provider. At our Penwith campus based in Penzance we currently offer both full and part time courses in Early Years and Childhood Education from Level 2 through to Level 5. It is both an expanding and highly successful part of our provision, enabling well motivated students to achieve their full learning potential and career targets, whether in employment or progression through Higher Education.
The successful candidate will be required to teach across a range of Early Years and Childhood Education courses, from Level 2 to Level 5, as well as taking responsibility for a tutor group. We are also looking to develop Early Years provision and an interest in promoting new courses would be an advantage, including the new T Level. A proven record of curriculum development and experience of quality monitoring is desirable, along with the ability to support staff individually and in teams.
The person appointed will have a proven record of success, a keen sense of humour and a flexible approach to addressing everyday challenges! You will also need to demonstrate a positive learning experience for the students.
If you are not a qualified teacher already this should not deter you from applying. For example, if you are an experienced industry professional, looking for a career change, then funding may be available to support teacher training.
