Working in our new purpose built world-class Centre for Science and Technology, where learners can unleash their full potential and be creative through hands-on learning, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire our learners to achieve and lead the way in the future of Computing.   As a Lecturer at Trafford College your key responsibilities will include: 

• Maximising learner recruitment, retention and success through the provision of an outstanding educational experience which enable learners to maximise their potential. 

• Delivering outstanding courses which meet learner needs through the use of a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies, allowing learners to access a comprehensive range of resources and providing comprehensive assessment opportunities.  

• Completing and maintaining effective data in relation to learners including, attendance, individual learner targets, progression, achievement and destination. 

• Being responsible for a course/courses of study and learner outcome. 

You will have a Degree in Computing or a Computer related subject along with skills at level 3 or above in one of the following areas: Programming, Network administration, Database design/administration, Web page design/management or Computer forensics/cyber security and experience teaching BTEC Computing at levels 3-5. A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths. A Level 5 teaching qualification or a commitment to complete these within 2 years will be essential.  Experience of teaching on apprenticeships is an advantage.  

NQT’s with relevant experience and the determination to develop their career with the College will be considered.
