This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to develop their career as a Main Grade Lecturer in Electrical Installation. The Sheffield College Engineering Centre is now located in brand new premises on Olive Grove Road in Sheffield, 10 minutes’ walk from our main campus on Granville Road. Over the last 3 years the Construction Department has experienced significant growth in our student base due to high demand and our links with industry have also stimulated growth in apprenticeships.
We are now seeking to appoint a highly qualified and enthusiastic Electrical Installation specialist to deliver this aspect of the curriculum up to L3 on our City & Guilds courses. The College has high standards of practice, and associated success rates are expected to be achieved. Your strengths will be industry based in Electrical Installation and teaching experience. The post involves teaching to electrical students on a range of vocational courses, both full time and part time. You will also be expected to contribute to the ongoing curriculum and team development.
The successful candidate should either hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one for candidates applying straight from industry or for those that have minimal teaching experience. Please refer to the job role descriptor for a more detailed description.
