Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours, 52 weeks.

 

Location: Paignton, Devon

We are currently recruiting for a professional Lecturer to join us here at South Devon College to undertake formal schedule teaching duties including:- teaching, tutorials and student assessments. This will involve specialist higher skills and education training across Construction, Civil and Coastal Engineering. This includes those learners on Higher and Degree Apprenticeships.

 

The individual’s skills could include delivery on other programmes such as Engineering and Marine.

 

The successful candidate will need to hold a Degree in a construction subject area, have relevant industrial experience and other relevant related professional qualifications, evidence of continued professional and personal development.  If not already held, to attain a teaching qualification within the college’s specified timescale, and have Maths and English at level 2 or equivalent (grade C/4 GCSE). You will also need relevant subject knowledge of construction management disciplines at degree level, awareness of best practice in subject areas and ability to apply this in the development of the curriculum, have good organisational, communication, inter-personal skills, be a good motivator, have a keen interest in/understanding of student-centred learning & ability to develop effective working relationships with students - and staff and able to teach creatively,
