About the role                       

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Engineering. This is a full time (37 hours) Permanent Opportunity.

Hiring managers for the role will welcome applications from any Engineering discipline from the Advanced Manufacturing field including; Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Instrumentation and Control engineers, Engineers from the renewable sector. Please note, the successful candidate must have at least a Level 4 HNC or equivalent qualification, preferably with industrial and teaching experience.

Lecturers at the College plan and deliver a wide range of challenging, relevant learning and work experiences that ensure all learners can develop and apply the skills, knowledge, behaviours and attitudes required for the 21st Century learning, life and work.

The successful candidate will:  

Be a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards.

To hold a minimum of an HNC in a field of Engineering or equivalent.

GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent.

Current knowledge and / or experience of teaching in one or more fields of Engineering.

Current knowledge of potential issues in one of more fields of Engineering that may impact on curriculum delivery.

Current knowledge and / or experience of career opportunities in one or more fields of Engineering for 16 – 18 and 19 learners.

Evidence of disseminating good practice effectively.

The ability to deal promptly and effectively with inappropriate behaviour in the classroom.

Excellent time management skills.
