We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Heating & Plumbing Services to manage and deliver courses within the Technology Department.

The ideal candidate must be qualified up to Level 4, hold a recognised industry specific qualification and the A1 Assessor Award.

You will be required to teach across a range of programmes, from Level 1 through to Level 4.

It is desirable for the applicant to hold a teaching qualification and have some experience working as a teacher in FE with adults and 16-18 year olds. Where no formal teaching qualification is held the candidate must be prepared to work towards teacher qualified status. Recent industrial experience is an advantage but is not essential.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are another pre – requisite, as is the ability to be an effective team member.

Our technology courses are driven and developed by strong partnerships with local employers responding to industry needs.

About Central Bedfordshire College

Central Bedfordshire College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Bedfordshire, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college, situated in Dunstable has over 3,000 learners attend every year. It is in partnership with The University of Bedfordshire and The University of Northampton.

Central Bedfordshire College was established in 1961. It is spread across three campuses – Kingsway, Luton Road and Kingsland Central Bedfordshire. It offers a range of vocational full and part time further education and training programmes from Level 1 to Level 5, along with apprenticeships and adult learning classes. Facilities include a training hair and beauty salon, training restaurant and engineering centre.
