We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lecturer in Maths to join our dynamic academic team to teach AS and A Level Maths. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to inspire the next generation of learners and contribute meaningfully to our vibrant college community.

Key Responsibilities

This role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging and interactive teaching, learning, and assessment at an outstanding standard, thereby ensuring exceptional learner success and the attainment of key targets.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in AS and A-level Maths, a commitment to student development, and a passion for teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.


To be successful you will have a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above) and experience of delivery of AS and A Level Maths. You will be inspirational in your teaching and demonstrate the ability to motivate our learners to achieve their targets and career ambitions.


Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding


To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:


✅ Accepted Qualifications:

  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject

If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).


❌ Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:

  • PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
